For the wire project I wanted to create something that I could possibly use. At first I wanted to work with the material and I thought about a crown. To get a little deeper I was inspired by Egyptian and Pharaoh headdress that are highly pleasing to the eye and often covered in gold. I used the wire that was in a bin outside and found some gold chicken wire. I started with a circle base wire and built up from there. Getting the bottom base circle sturdy enough to hold the rest of the piece was the hardest part. I couldn’t get everything exactly like my drawing because wire was more difficult to work with than I thought.
